The Exotic Cat was the creation of crossbreeding British Shorthairs, American Shorthairs and Persians.
But unlike the long haired Persians, the Exotic cat has a short dense coat making them much easier to care for.
Their coat will not mat or tangle.
The Exotic cat is able to keep its own fur tidy with little human assistance.
They are very calm and make good lap cats.
As adult cats, the Exotic still remains playful.
The Exotic Cat was recognized by the C.F.A in 1966.
