Humber Car History

The history of the Humber Car can be traced back to 1868 and the founding of Thomas Humber's bicycle company. In 1898 a three-wheeled tricar was produced. In 1901, a Humber released a four-wheeled car.

By 1913, Humber had become the second largest manufacturer of cars in the United Kingdom. In 1931, Humber was taken over by the Rootes brothers. The Humber Sceptre was the last Humber to be made.
