Milton Hershey was born September 13, 1857, in Pennsylvania.
Hershey had a limited education, and he only completed the fourth grade.
Started out as an apprentice, but Milton soon left to start his own business, opening his own shop in Philadelphia.
In 1886, Hershey opened the "Lancaster Caramel Company" which he later sold.
In 1903, Hershey built a chocolate factory.
In 1909, Milton built a trade school for orphan boys.
Milton Hershey died October 13, 1945.
Hershey left his money to charity.
