WALTER CHRYSLER BIOGRAPHY

Walter Chrysler was born in 1875 in Wamego, Kansas.

Chrysler worked for the American Locomotive Company, then later in 1911, for the Buick Motor Company.

Chrysler took a controlling interest in the Maxwell Motor Company and eventually absorbed it into Chrysler Corporation, The first Chrysler car was released in 1924.

At one stage, Walter financed the construction of the worlds tallest skyscraper. Walter Chrysler died in 1940.
