H.G. Wells was born September 21, 1866 in Bromley, England.
After an accident which left him temporily bedridden when he was 7 years old, he took up a strong interest in reading and writing.
Wells studied at the the University of London and graduated in 1888.
For a while Wells taught biology before starting a career as a novelist.
H.G. Wells died August 13, 1946.
During his life, Wells wrote a number of famous novels including: "The War of the Worlds", "The Island of Dr. Moreau", "The Time Machine", "The Invisible Man".
Many of his novels have went on to become movies.
