Ivan Turgenev was born November 9, 1818 in Orel, Russia.
He was born into a wealthy family and recieved a very extensive education studying at the University of Moscow, University of St Petersburg and the University of Berlin.
Although Ivan never married, he did have a daughter.
Ivan Turgenev died September 3, 1883.
His writings included: Rudin, On the Eve, Fathers and Sons, Virgin Soil.
