People on a diet may develop bad breath through infrequent eating.

Brush your teeth and your tongue.
Change your toothbrush every month.
One of the worst causes of Chronic Bad Breath is smoking and other tobacco use.
Chronic Bad Breath may also be caused by dry mouth (xerostomia).
This occurs when the flow of saliva decreases.
Other causes of Chronic Bad Breath include poor nutrition, constipation and excessive unfriendly bacteria in the colon or mouth, liver malfunction, indigestion, too little stomach acid and inadequate protein digestion.

Eating foods like carrots and celery all help to fight the development of plaque on the teeth.
Avoid eating offending foods such as garlic, raw onions, hot peppers, anchovies and cheeses.
