It is perfectly normal for your newly potty trained toddler to wet the
bed at night. Your 2 to 4 year olds bladder still may be too small
to hold in a nights worth of urine, and he hasn't yet learned to wake
up and head to the bathroom when his bladder feels full.
Almost half
of all 3 year olds still wet the bed. Most child development experts
consider bedwetting normal until about the age of 5 or 6, when only 12
percent of kids still wet the bed.
Do not scold or embarrass your
child. Calmly change the bedding and his pajamas. Or let him wear
absorbent or disposable training pants to bed.
If your child still
isnt staying dry at night six months after he's mastered daytime
toilet training or by the time he is 5 years old, consult your
pediatrician.
