Raphael

Raffaello Santi, known as Raphael: Born: Urbino, April 6, 1483.

Raphael had learned about art in his father's studio.

After his father died, Raphael became an apprentice for the painter Pietro Perugino.

Raphael moved to Florence in 1504.

By 1508, he was in Rome, entrusted by Pope Julius II with the decoration of the Stanze.
