Jackson Pollock

Jackson Pollock: Born: : January 28, 1912, Cody, Wyoming, USA.

In 1930 moved to New York, and enrolled in The Art Student’s League to study with Thomas Hart Benton.

Later, Pollock worked in the easel painting division of the Federal Government sponsored Works Project Administration.

His first exhibition was at the "Art of this Century Gallery" was in 1943.

Life Magazine run a feature story on Pollock in 1949.

Died: August 11, 1956.
