Edward Hopper: Born: Nyack, New York, USA.

He is best known for interior scenes of isolated figures and rural landscapes.

In 1901 he attended the "New York School of Art".

Moved to Paris in 1907.

He produced almost 70 etchings and drypoints between 1915 and 1928. Best remembered for his realistic depictions of solitude in contemporary American life.
