Jean Cocteau

Jean Maurice Eugene Clement Cocteau: Born: July 5, 1889, France. His versatile, unconventional approach and enormous output brought him international acclaim.

His art was influenced by other fields, such as theatre and poetry.

A close friend of Picasso. In 1955 Cocteau was made a member of the Académie française and The Royal Academy of Belgium.

Died on October 11, 1963, France.
