Porpoises

Porpoises belong to the Suborder Odontoceti. Porpoises are different to Dolphines however in they belong to the Family Phocoenidae. In total, there are 6 species of porpoises:
Harbor.
Dall's.
Spectacled Porpoise.
Burmeister.
Finless.
Vaquita.

Porpoises, along with whales and dolphins, are descendants of land-living mammals and are related to hoofed animals. They entered the water roughly 50 million years ago.

Porpoises are mammals and are warm blooded. They can vary in length from 4 to 6 feet. Porpoises are in fact considered to be small whales.
