The Emu is a native Australian bird.
The Emu differs from many birds in that it cannot fly.
It is the second-largest bird in the world by height.
The largest individuals can reach up to two metres (6 ft 7 inches) in height (1-1.3 metres (3.2-4.3 ft) at the shoulder) and weigh between 30 and 45 kilograms (66-100 pounds).
They are opportunistically nomadic and may travel long distances to find food.
But the Australian Emu can run as fast as 60 kilometres an hour.
For some 80 million years in the Emu has lived in Australia.
The Australian Emu does drink a lot of water, as much as several liters a day.
The diet of the Australian Emu is mostly grass, leaves, seeds and insects.
