The literal translation of the word jujutsu means "gentle art".
Ju-Jitsu was actually developed from many individual teachings ans is sometimes refered to as a Master Art due to the fact that many other Arts stemmed from Ju-Jitsu.
The history of Ju-Jitsu can be traced back more than 2,500 years
Hisamori Teneuchi, who founded the school of Ju-Jitsu in Japan in 1532 may be givem much credit for the formal art of Ju-Jitsu as we know it today.
Ju-Jitsu is a style of Martial Art in which the weight and strength of the opponent are used against him.
